Respectful Conduct

Please maintain silence inside the cathedral. Running, shouting, and using mobile phones for calls are not permitted. Be mindful of worshippers and services in progress.

Appropriate Dress

Visitors should dress modestly. Shoulders and knees must be covered. Men are requested to remove hats and caps upon entering the cathedral.

Bag Policy

Only small bags (max size 40x35x15cm, or A4 format) are allowed inside. Wheeled suitcases, cabin trolleys, and large backpacks are strictly forbidden and cannot be stored.

Photography

Photography for private, non-commercial use is allowed without flash. Tripods, monopods, and selfie sticks are not permitted. Photography is forbidden during services.

Common questions about what's allowed

Can I bring a water bottle inside?
Food and drink are not permitted inside the cathedral. You may carry a closed water bottle in your small bag.
Are animals allowed?
No, pets are not allowed inside the cathedral. Certified assistance dogs are the only exception.
Why is there a strict bag policy?
The bag policy is in place for security reasons to ensure the safety of all visitors and to protect the priceless artworks within the cathedral.
Can I use a tripod for my camera?
No, tripods and similar equipment are not allowed to prevent obstruction and ensure visitor safety. Commercial photography requires prior written permission from the Cathedral Chapter.
What happens if I have a large bag with me?
You will be denied entry. The cathedral does not offer a luggage storage facility. You must use lockers at the nearby train station or make other arrangements.
